What is single sign-on?
Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication scheme that allows a user to log in with a single ID and password to several related yet independent software systems.
Within SimCapture, this can result in a user logging into their computer, navigating to their SimCapture site on a browser, selecting the Single Sign-On option, and immediately being passed to their SimCapture account as their computer (or company ID, or Student ID, etc.) and password has been passed to SimCapture, associated with their login, and the user is let in inappropriately.
Where is SSO available within the SimCapture user interface?
Feature | SSO Supported in Cloud |
---|---|

Center Sign-In | ✅ |
SimCapture for Skills | ✅ |
iOS Administrator Recording App | ❌ (not currently planned) |
How can SSO be set up?
Please reach out to simcapturesupport@laerdal.com to assist with setting up SSO within your SimCapture Environment. Additionally, please include details or documentation on how SimCapture would register as a Service Provider (SP) along with your specific IdP metadata.
From this Support ticket, we will evaluate to ensure SSO will work for your situation. Once we have discussed this situation and set the SSO configuration appropriately, we will send you a metadata file to load into your system.
