Your Learner Portfolio in SimCapture Enterprise is your personal space for reviewing evaluations, feedback, and progress from simulation activities. Evaluations help you understand your performance, identify improvement areas, and track your learning over time.
This article explains where to find your evaluations, what information they contain, and how to use them effectively.
Who This Is For
- Learners using SimCapture Enterprise
- Students reviewing released evaluations and feedback
- Participants tracking progress across simulations or courses
Where to Find Your Evaluations
- Log in to SimCapture Enterprise.
- From the main dashboard, select My Portfolio.
- Open the Evaluations tab.
This view shows all evaluations that have been released to you. If an evaluation is missing, it may not have been released yet by your instructor.
What You’ll See in an Evaluation
Evaluations may include some or all of the following, depending on how the activity was set up:
Session Information
- Date and time of the session
- Scenario or simulation type
- Instructor or evaluator (if applicable)
Scores or Ratings
- Numeric scores, checklists, or competency ratings
- Results based on criteria defined by your program or course
Instructor Feedback
- Written comments or suggestions
- Guidance on strengths and areas for improvement
Self‑Evaluation (If Included)
- Your own reflections entered after a session
- Used for learning and reflection, not grading
How to Interpret Your Results
Review Skill‑Level Feedback
Look at how individual skills or competencies were assessed. Lower scores highlight areas to focus on, not failure.
Look for Progress Over Time
When multiple evaluations are available, you can compare results to see how your performance changes across sessions.
Understand Context
Scores and comments reflect the goals of a specific scenario. Instructor feedback is often more important than the numeric score alone.
Note: Some programs may enable comparisons or trends. Availability depends on course configuration.
Tips for Using Evaluations Effectively
- Review feedback soon after it’s released
- Identify recurring strengths or improvement areas
- Set personal learning goals based on comments
- Bring questions to debriefs or follow‑up discussions
- Use self‑evaluations to reflect on your decision‑making and confidence
Exporting or Sharing Evaluations
- You can download evaluations as PDFs for your personal records
- Sharing typically happens outside of SimCapture, such as during meetings with faculty or mentors
Export and sharing options may vary by course.
Why an Evaluation May Be Missing
An evaluation may not appear yet if:
- It hasn’t been released by your instructor
- The session is still being reviewed
- You were not associated with the session
If you believe something is missing or incorrect, reach out to your instructor or simulation administrator.
