Laerdal Medical has enhanced the integration between SimCapture Enterprise and the Laerdal Learning Application (LLEAP), offering more flexibility, functionality, and a more stable connection. This guide walks you through how to install, register, and use the LLEAP plugin to run and record sessions directly from LLEAP.
Things to Know Before You Begin
- You must be using LLEAP version 7.1 or higher.
- You’ll need your organization’s clientID (GUID) to register the plugin.
- Only a System Administrator can complete the plugin registration in SimCapture.
Step 1: Obtain the LLEAP Plugin
- Log in to your SimCapture organization.
- Click the System Settings gear icon.
- Under Recording & Sessions, click Applications.
- Click Download LLEAP Plugin.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Step 2: Register the LLEAP Plugin
- Launch your debriefing system and select SimCapture.
- Check the box for SimCapture Cloud, select your Region, and enter your clientID.
- Don’t know your clientID? Contact SimCapture Support.
- You’ll receive a token to enter in SimCapture.
- In SimCapture, go to System Setup > Applications and enter the token.
- Once registered, click Continue. Your LLEAP PC is now connected to SimCapture.
Step 3: Run a SimCapture Session from LLEAP
- Launch LLEAP and go to Simulate > LLEAP - Instructor Application.
- Configure your session and click Start Session.
- To make changes before starting, click Edit before starting.
- In the SimCapture plugin window:
- Select the Course, Scenario, and Location.
- Choose up to 4 video feeds to record.
- Click Start to begin the session and recording.
- The session status and timer will confirm recording has started.
Step 4: Stop and Debrief
- Click the Stop button (white square in a black circle).
- Click Debrief to send the recording to SimCapture.
- Click Go to Debriefing to view the session in SimCapture.
Important: Clicking Start New or Exit will discard the recording and it will not be saved in SimCapture.
